MAKING PSYCHOLOGY MORE CULTURAL
For many years, Dr. Arnett has been a strong advocate for expanding the scope of psychology so that it includes a broader range of the world’s cultures. He founded the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood (SSEA) as an organization with international leadership and membership. Also, he has published influential articles in American Psychologist calling for more psychological research on the 95% of the world’s population that is outside the borders of the U.S.
